Thus garlic is hailed as the herbal treatment for hypertension. Garlic also reduces your platelet aggregates and lowers the risk of thrombosis. If you are a diabetic then garlic is effective in dropping the glucose levels. Garlic helps to maintain the healthy state of your digestive tract. It also helps in curing inflammations and other infections.
Side effects of Garlic
By consuming garlic you do not suffer from any side effects but you need to take some precautions. Garlic does not allow the blood to clot and tends to make your wounds bleed for a longer period. Thus, if you are scheduled for any surgery then abstain from any intake of garlic. Garlic and anticoagulants are not compatible. So you need to consult your doctor if you are taking some medicines before using garlic to control your high blood pressure.

Garlic taken in the raw form is the best medicine for lowering your high blood pressure. 2 or 3 cloves are known to produce the desired results. However, some of you may not be very pleased with the strong smell of garlic. So you can take garlic supplements if you cannot take it in its pure form. You can even use it in your recipes and Garlic pasta is one such delicious food that you can try out. You can even use garlic instead of salt in your recipes. You can have it in the juice form or as broth. Garlic is not beneficial if you consume it in either cooked or dried form.
