Symptoms of High Blood Pressure
High blood pressure does not have any overt symptoms that can make people aware that they are being affected by this medical condition. Because of its dormant unassuming nature high blood pressure has been nicknamed as ‘the silent killer’. During the early stages you may not feel any kind of discomfort that could make you read the warning signals for a bigger disastrous turn in the future. You might ignore a slight kidney problem thinking it would go away with time. But you should be careful that in due course of time these small ailments take on the most deadly form that could ruin your health.
Do not ignore these symptoms
Headaches
It is advisable that you have your regular medical check ups as the symptoms which look inconspicuous now could turn into something detrimental like heart attacks or strokes. If you are a victim of chronic headaches then this could be one of the symptoms of high blood pressure. Do not ignore this problem as a sinus problem or an allergy.
Dizziness
Many of you may think that dizziness is related to an eye problem but it could be one of the symptoms of high blood pressure. Before you head towards your Ophthalmologist’s clinic, get a pressure check up from your regular physician.
Breathlessness
If you are obese then you may experience breathlessness which could be one of the symptoms of high blood pressure. Usually people experience breathlessness when they indulge in any kind of vigorous physical activity like exercise, but do not make the mistake of thinking it would to be the same reason every time. While walking a flight of stairs if you experience any breathing difficulty this could be a sign of a heart disease. If you experience shortness of breath when you are nervous or anxious this is a warning sign for you to visit your doctor. This could be one of the symptoms of high blood pressure. This symptom is probably one of the last ones where your body is indicating a high level of blood pressure.
Take caution before it is too late
It has been found that normally people who experience all these symptoms ignore it as a casual thing and those who have been having these constant symptoms over a period of time have already reached the danger mark and are already victims of high blood pressure. Had you paid a little heed to these signs and gone for your routine check up during the first manifestations you would have been saved from this chronic medical condition.
The other symptoms of high blood pressure are a pounding sensation in the ears, irregular heartbeats i.e. either slow or fast and lack of sexual desire. If you experience any of these symptoms your first stop should be at your doctor’s chamber.
